Call me if UptimeRobot says my site is down

UptimeRobot can make your phone ring full screen when a monitor goes down.

Before you start: UptimeRobot's webhooks are available on its Team and Scale plans only (UptimeRobot's own help centre says so). On its free plan it cannot send us an alert.

1. Make an alert source in Call Me If

1. Sign in at callmeif.app and open Alert sources.
2. Create a source and name it — for example UptimeRobot.
3. Copy the key it shows you. It is shown once. The address is https://api.callmeif.app/api/v1/alerts.

Then, in the app, write the sentence — "Call me if UptimeRobot fires" — and choose Ring, or Ring, then call me.

2. Add a webhook in UptimeRobot

1. In UptimeRobot, go to Integrations and click Add Integration, then choose Webhook.

2. URL to notify: https://api.callmeif.app/api/v1/alerts

3. Custom headers: add one header — name Authorization, value Bearer followed by your key.

4. POST value: choose a custom JSON body and paste:

5. Events to notify about: choose Down events only. A site coming back up is good news and does not need to wake you.

6. Save, then attach the integration to the monitors you want.

What rings, and what does not

• The ring shows the monitor's name, for example "Checkout API is Down".
• A monitor that keeps failing is one ring: repeats of the same alert within five minutes are recognised as one.
• The key only creates alerts. If it leaks, replace it on the source's page and paste the new one into UptimeRobot.
